Annual Demonstration |

On the first Saturday of August every year the Free Colliers hold their Annual Demonstration. The walk leaves Reddingmuirhead Lodgerooms at 12 noon and makes its way to Redding Cross where the Grand Chaplin lays a wreath at the memorial of the men who lost their lives in the Redding Pit Disaster. The walk proceeds through the villages of the braes during the day stopping at the Quoit in Reddins, Tam Bain in Laurieston, Unity Club in Redding, Masonic Hall in Brightons and Wallacestone where a guest speaker adresses the Free Colliers and the members of public who follow us on the day.
